13 Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas For Him

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, this is the perfect time to show some love and appreciation to your boyfriend/husband.

My husband and I don’t usually do anything too crazy for Valentine’s day. We typically spend the evening together doing something we both enjoy while exchanging small, heartfelt gifts. I would love to plan extravagant evenings with my husband during Valentine’s day or even just randomly throughout the year, but to be honest, sometimes life gets busy, and Valentine’s day sneaks up on us pretty quickly.

But this year, I’m feeling good and ahead of schedule! So with that, I thought that I’d share some unique gift ideas that I’ve done in hopes that they give you some fun, affordable, and unique ideas for you to do with your significant other while celebrating Valentine’s day!

A small tip

It’s essential to keep in mind your significant other’s love languages and what’s going to make them feel most loved and appreciated. Which means this may not always mean a physical gift!

If you’re unsure about love languages, I highly recommend the book The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman to learn more about how both you and your significant other best feel loved and appreciated. This book is hugely insightful into not only your boyfriend/husband’s top love languages but also your own. And don’t forget to take the quiz to see which love languages are your top 3!

Here is a list of free, cheap, and some generous gift ideas that your boyfriend/spouse will love and feel appreciated by!

  • Spend some quality time with them doing something they enjoy doing!
  • Leave a love note someplace random for them to find! Maybe add a box of chocolate or their favorite candy to go with the letter.
  • Take them out to a nice dinner as a surprise!
  • Custom socks with your face or a pets face on them! I got these for my husband for Christmas, and he LOVED them. And yes, they did have my face on them.
  • Are you crafty? Make them something homemade!
  • Make them their favorite dinner or dessert
  • Get them a snack box to keep at work for when they get snacky! Honestly, you can’t really go wrong with food.
  • You can make or purchase them a card. This card can be heartfelt, funny, or punny. I encourage you to write out some heartfelt words in the card. Let them know how much you love and appreciate them. Be detailed and specific! Take the time to think and maybe even practice what you would like to write out.
  • You can create your own coupon cards, or you can purchase a coupon book that’s already created for you!
  • Go out of your way to serve them. Maybe this means doing their laundry, cleaning their car, filling up their gas, taking their list and going grocery shopping for them, etc.
  • Ask each other questions to deepen your relationship with a question game!
  • Print out your favorite pictures of the both of you and frame them!

I hope you found some helpful gift ideas for your significant other that you can use for not only Valentine’s day but also Christmas and birthdays.

I would love to hear in the comments below what gift ideas you chose or any other gift ideas you recommend!
